Job Title: Engagement Consultation Manager

Job Responsibilities:
As an Engagement Consultation Manager within the department of Risk, Compliance, and Governance at the company, you will be at the forefront of regulatory compliance with a focus on auditor independence rules and their implications in the professional services sector. Your role involves a consultative approach, assisting company engagement teams to deliver client services while adhering to regulations. Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating closely with Partners, Principals, Managing Directors (PPMDs), and Senior Managers, both within the department and across company service lines.
- Interacting with leadership, such as Lead Client Service Partners, Professional Practice Directors, and other client service teams to provide guidance on engagement-related independence matters.
- Analyzing services and client relationships to ensure compliance with independence requirements, including services and relationships within and outside the .
- Handling matters arising from client mergers, acquisitions, or IPOs, and reviewing client corporate or investment structures, investment interests, and investment terms to identify affiliates as per independence rules.
- Conducting research and analysis, drafting conclusions and communications, and strategizing next steps in coordination with senior team members.
- Developing a deep understanding of AICPA, SEC, and PCAOB independence rules and company US Firms Independence policies.
- Interpreting and implementing new and existing regulations related to permissible non-attest services for company US entities, providing advice to client-facing teams.
- Participating in policy setting by researching and drafting communications to increase awareness and understanding of current, new, or changing independence rules.
- Creating and revising training courses and materials to address rule changes and new interpretations found during consultations with regulators.
- Working on special projects independently and collaboratively with PPMDs and engagement teams, involving senior members for necessary input.

Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications for this position include:

- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business, compliance, or legal fields.
- 5 to 8+ years of related experience, ideally within a professional services role and environment.
- Proficiency in standard office-productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Ability to travel 0-10% on average, depending on work and client and industry/sector served.

Preferred qualifications include:

- Understanding of independence requirements for professional auditing firms.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and/or analysis and interpretation of rules, regulations, and standards.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards.
- . CPA and/or an advanced degree in related areas such as finance, accounting, business, or law.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a variety of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials. Typically, individuals are not hired at or near the top of the range for their role, as compensation decisions depend on specific facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $114,600 to $191,000. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the program's governing rules, with awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance.
