Job Title: Litigation Docket Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Docket Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that ensure the smooth operation of the firm's docketing system. Your main duties will include:
- Processing requests and entering deadlines into the firm's docketing system.
- Preparing reports and responding to procedural questions.
- Contributing to electronic filings, court runs, and opening mail.
- Assisting the team with workload and being part of a regional and national docketing team.
- Logging and processing all docket requests using the firm's docketing software.
- Logging and processing transactional docketing requests, including those for the Real Estate and Corporate practice groups.
- Responding to case teams to ensure accurate docket entries.
- Assisting in the investigation of docket issues.
- Responding to procedural inquiries from attorneys.
- Participating in quality control and review of docket data entry.
- Participating in data clean-up initiatives.
- Researching court case information to maintain an accurate record.
- Abiding by court rules on electronic filing of documents in federal court using the CM/ECF system and filing documents electronically after hours when needed.
- E-filing documents in state and appellate courts.
- Assisting with special projects as assigned by the regional coordinator and the Director and Managing Attorney, Docket.
- Answering procedural questions related to date calculations and filing requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
To be considered for the position of Litigation Docket Specialist, candidates are expected to have:

- 7-10 years of litigation docketing experience, ideally with exposure to a law firm environment.
- Prior experience working in a law firm environment is preferred.
- Experience with CompuLaw is a plus.
- Proficiency with rules-based docketing.
- The ability to interpret and analyze information.
- Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) are required.
- Proficiency in electronic court filing in both state and federal courts is required.
Salary Information:
The full-time salary range for the role of Litigation Docket Specialist varies by location and is based on a standard workweek:
- Seattle: $80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on a workweek.
- Sacramento: $80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on a workweek.
- Los Angeles: $90,000 to $100,000 annually, based on a 40-hour workweek.
This salary range reflects the firm's good faith belief of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Pay within the salary range will be determined by various factors including education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and business needs. The position is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
