Job Title: 2026 Summer Associate - Investment Management International Placement Program
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the 2026 Summer Associate in the Investment Management International Placement Program at the law firm is to participate in an immersive summer associate experience. This program is designed to develop exceptional law students into successful investment management lawyers at the law firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging in a paid summer associate position at one of the sponsoring US offices of the law firm, which include Boston, Chicago, New York, Orange County, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.
- Spending the final two weeks of the summer program in one of the international offices, which may include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Tokyo.
- Upon successful completion of the summer program and graduation from law school, receiving an offer to join the law firm as an entry-level associate in the investment management practice at one of the US offices.
- After two years of employment as an associate in one of the US offices, transitioning to one of the international offices to continue working in the investment management practice.
Education and Experience Information:
Eligible candidates for the 2026 Summer Associate position must meet the following educational and experiential criteria:
- Be enrolled full-time in an ABA-accredited law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2027.
- Possess US work and travel authorization for the full duration of the program, as the law firm does not offer US work and travel visa sponsorship for the 2L or post-graduation associate programs.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to exceptional client service.
- Show genuine interest in pursuing a career with the law firm’s investment management practice, with the intention of residing and practicing in one of the specified international offices (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Tokyo).
- Preferred language skills in one of the international locations listed above are advantageous.
Salary Information:
The compensation details for the 2026 Summer Associate position are as follows:
- Summer associates at the law firm are paid a weekly salary of $4,326, which aligns with the legal industry market scale.
- The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process. It will vary based on factors such as prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
- Final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of the initially determined range due to individual circumstances or other reasons.
- Salary or hourly wages may be part of a broader total compensation package, potentially including a range of medical, financial, and other benefits (., 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave).
- Detailed information about participation in benefit plans will be provided if the candidate receives a permanent employment offer.
- If hired, the employee will hold an "at-will position," and the law firm reserves the right to modify base salary and other discretionary payments or benefits at any time, based on factors such as individual performance, firm or department/team performance, and market factors.
