Job Title: Trial Associate (#952) - New York

Job Responsibilities:
The Trial Associate position at the law firm involves engaging in a variety of litigation tasks across different legal areas. The associate will be involved in all phases of litigation, which includes pleadings, discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appeal. The position requires handling cases in both federal and state court, as well as arbitrations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research
- Writing briefs
- Managing discovery processes
- Engaging in oral advocacy
- Taking depositions
- Participating in trial practice
- Handling appeals

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates applying for the Trial Associate position must meet the following education and experience criteria:
- Possession of a JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- One to two years of experience in litigation and/or a clerkship, with a keen interest in commercial, employment, trademark, and other intellectual property litigation matters
- Admission to the New York bar, or the ability to promptly secure admission
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- While not required, admission to the New Jersey or Massachusetts bar is considered a plus

Salary Information:
For applicants based in New York, the salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $245,000, determined by the depth of experience in the relevant practice area. The position offers the flexibility to opt for a lower billable-hours track with a proportional salary reduction. Associates are eligible to participate in the law firm’s associate bonus program, subject to its conditions and restrictions.
