Job Title: Closing Processor
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist one or more assigned Real Estate Paralegals with pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities and provide additional general office duty support as needed.
- Prepare disclosures, privacy policies, engagement letters, and information requests to circulate for signatures.
- Work closely with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to ensure transactions move smoothly through the deal cycle.
- Communicate effectively so that clients and referral sources rarely need to reach out, but if they do, handle client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate closing times for multiple daily transactions across multiple offices.
- Communicate with clients and other parties to gather required documentation for several files while tracking deadlines.
- Review contracts, title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys, as well as assist with the clearance of any judgments found during the title search.
- Obtain loan payoffs, invoices, and homeowners’ association dues.
- Scan documents for electronic storage.
- Record necessary closing documents and check back to ensure proper recordation.
- Process packages to be sent to lender institutions post-closing.
Education and Experience Information:
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal oversight while managing a high volume of files at differing stages of the deal cycle.
- Demonstrate exceptional organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Exhibit proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn industry software.
- Consistently display the law firm's Core Values.
- Maintain the law firm's standard of service scores.
- Excellent, friendly, and proactive communication with referral sources and clients.
