Job Title: Product Counsel, UG & Search

Job Responsibilities:
The Product Counsel role within the company involves providing legal support for all of the company's innovative initiatives, products, and platforms, particularly within the global video market. The role requires an experienced product attorney to work closely with internal stakeholders to perform thorough analysis and provide pragmatic and strategic advice. Key responsibilities include:

- Spearheading the legal review of new products and features and coordinating product-related matters on a global scale through a holistic risk assessment approach.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements worldwide, specifically focusing on entertainment platforms and social media.
- Advising user growth and search product teams on complex issues, facilitating the development of creative solutions for product feature innovation.
- Coordinating with regional counsels and various subject matter expert legal counsels to consolidate and globalize legal feedback for product teams.
- Managing internal communication, projects, and training initiatives across different teams, including regional legal teams, product organizations, and subject matter expert legal groups.
- Monitoring industry trends related to the regulation of online platforms, social media, and entertainment platforms, as well as privacy, generative AI, data protection, and minor safety & protection to identify critical areas for the company to address.

Education and Experience Information:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Qualified to practice law and in good standing in the United States.
- At least 5 years of practice with experience advising on laws related to privacy, consumer protection, minor safety, user campaigns, marketing, promotional activities, and other regulatory requirements, ideally for a multinational company advising across multiple markets.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience counseling on platform liability, intellectual property, and generative AI is preferred.
- In-house experience in an international matrixed organization is ideal.
- Strong drafting, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience analyzing products to determine their compliance with applicable laws.
- Detail-oriented with experience coordinating across multiple teams and countries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic.
- Determination to face challenges in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of humor.

Salary Information:
For Pay Transparency:
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $170,666 - $319,200 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package, which may also include additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
