Position Summary:

MoFo, a leading law firm, is seeking a US Filing Specialist to join their Patent Support team. This position can be based in multiple locations across the United States, including San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Austin, Boston, New York, or Washington, . As a US Filing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of administrative patent prosecution support for . patent matters for assigned clients. This includes providing client support, managing portfolios, and ensuring client satisfaction in all areas of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of administrative patent prosecution support for . patent matters for assigned clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients to deliver responsive and appropriate client service.
• Maintain manual dockets and review electronic dockets for assigned clients.
• Timely create and file accurate and comprehensive USPTO submissions.
• Process incoming mail and report USPTO correspondence to clients.
• Stay up-to-date on knowledge of US patent rules.
• Provide back-up support for colleagues and assist with special projects.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Assist with client file transfers and disengaging clients.
• Keep daily fixed fees and submit to accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or previous patent legal experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of progressive patent experience required.
• Detailed knowledge of USPTO procedures and rules.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Availability for overtime and flexible work schedule.

Salary Information:

• New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto salary range: $70K to $104K
• Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, . salary range: $65K to $98K
• Denver salary range: $61K to $92K
