Job Title: Cyber Class Action Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the defense of privacy lawsuits and data breach class actions filed in state and federal courts nationwide.
- Conduct analysis of state, federal, and international privacy laws.
- Respond to regulatory investigations arising out of a data breach.
- Defend privacy lawsuits.
- Prepare and respond to written discovery, take and defend depositions, and work with expert witnesses.
Education and Experience Information:
- A JD from an accredited Law School is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of complex litigation experience in state and federal courts is necessary.
- Class Action litigation experience is considered a plus.
- A background in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy is advantageous.
- Excellent research and writing skills, including drafting briefs and dispositive motions, are essential.
- Excellent oral communication skills are required.
- Experience managing large-scale E-Discovery is preferred.
- Experience defending in data breach, BIPA, VPPA class actions is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure is necessary.
- The candidate must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines in multiple cases.
- Must be a team player.
Salary Information:
- The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $155,000 USD.
- A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law.
- This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses.
- Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
- This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including a 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
