Job Description: Senior Paralegal in Seattle, WA

We are currently seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our Seattle office, where you will have the opportunity to assist lawyers, perform management functions, and conduct factual investigations. This role requires independent judgment and may involve supervising and training other paralegals and project assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organize, analyze, and summarize information and present it in a usable work product
- Utilize our firm's software and technology, including practice-group specific tools
- Investigate factual issues using a variety of sources
- Maintain electronic and hard copy resources for specific clients, matters, or practice groups
- Prepare written memos, emails, and other communications to present project results
- Assist with various real estate transactions, including drafting documents and managing deadlines
- Conduct due diligence reviews and analysis for complex real estate transactions
- Coordinate and analyze public record materials
- Manage electronic data room files and platforms such as HighQ, DropBox, and Box
- Track real estate development matters using Smartsheet
- Prepare and transmit documents for execution using DocuSign
- Update and maintain matters in Deal Tracker
- Research real estate parcels in various jurisdictions
- Interact with title companies for recording purposes
- Adhere to administrative standards set by the firm, including time entry, attending meetings, and performing other tasks as assigned
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers, following firm procurement policies
- Train project assistants on specific duties and responsibilities when necessary
- Perform legal tasks that require independent judgment
- Develop procedures and systems to ensure effective legal services

Experience & Skills Required:

- College degree preferred with at least 5 years of relevant paralegal experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice-group specific technology
- Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate results
- Strong planning and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Critical thinking skills to make independent decisions
- Follows detailed instructions and handles complex work
- Brings any concerns or discrepancies to the attention of supervising lawyer
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and Excel
- Stay updated on industry trends and legal profession

Additional Abilities Required:

- Candidates for practice area specific positions should have academic expertise in the relevant subject area
- This job operates in an office setting and may require bending, standing on a stool, and lifting files
- Certain educational credentials and skills are required for specific practice areas

Compensation:

- Salary range: $98,000 - $163,000 (determined during interview process)
- Based on factors such as experience, expertise, and current business needs
