Job Title: Information Governance Compliance Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
The Information Governance Compliance Coordinator is a pivotal role within the law firm's Information Governance & Privacy department. The primary responsibility is to ensure the seamless coordination of activities related to client file transfers, electronic file intake for lateral attorneys, records retention, and adherence to records standards. Key duties include:

- Communicating with attorneys and business professionals about lawyer mobility records issues, specifically concerning client file transfers for both active and inactive electronic client records.
- Managing the intake of electronic documents and emails for lateral attorneys, including the upload of these materials into iManage.
- Handling the transfer of electronic documents and emails, which includes downloading them from iManage.
- Coordinating the transfer of print records and assisting in developing records retention procedures.
- Engaging with attorneys and department business professional team members regarding records retention issues.
- Overseeing records retention activities in line with firm policy and procedures, and coordinating the destruction of print records.
- Managing the approval process for optional electronic root folders and reviewing requests for new print folders to ensure compliance with records standards.
- Performing data entry, data analysis, and implementing legal holds, while facilitating document collection, production, and destruction in compliance with court orders and PII provisions.
- Addressing and resolving inquiries related to the Information Governance Department’s policies and procedures concerning lawyer mobility, retention, and standards.
- Assisting in the development of training materials, procedure manuals, and guidelines.
- Liaising between attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, administration, and other records business professionals to ensure comprehensive central records services are delivered promptly and efficiently.
- Encouraging team behaviors to achieve organizational goals.
- Performing all other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation at the law firm.
- Availability to work overtime as required.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct applicable experience, which may include records experience, technology experience, or a combination of both.
- Previous experience with complex electronic records management systems.
- Participation in a 7x24 on-call rotation is required.

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience in a large multi-office law firm.
- Experience in coordinating work with others and implementing new technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL programming.

Salary Information:
The law firm offers a competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package, committed to fair and equitable employment practices. The expected hourly pay range for this position, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week, is between and , translating to an annual salary range of $62, to $90,. The final offer will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and the candidate’s skill set.
