Job Title: Senior Tax Associate - Tax Publishing (National Office)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting internal and external alerts and articles on current developments in federal income tax, which includes pending legislation, notable administrative guidance, and cases.
- Identify hot topics for alert candidates.
- Provide writing and research support for alerts and articles authored by others.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on publications and other opportunities.
- Work together with the department on webinars.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in tax journalism and/or federal income tax compliance and consulting is required, preferably with a notable tax publication, large law firm, large accounting firm, or the IRS.
- A Juris Doctor (.) is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Certified Public Accountant (.) or Tax .
- Strong writing skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
- Strong proficiency with tax research databases such as Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint, TaxNotes, etc., is preferred.
- An interest in and proficiency at tracking pending legislative developments is advantageous.
Salary Information:
- For locations in New York City and California, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $115,000.
- The salary range in other geographies may vary based on market differences.
- The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
