The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in Worker's Compensation defense and be licensed to practice in New York courts.

- Minimum 4 years of experience in Worker's Compensation defense
- Licensed to practice in New York courts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and superb organization and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office and internet navigation
- Responsibilities include handling a caseload involving substantial litigation defense
- Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda
- Conducting legal research and responding to written discovery and dispositive motions
- Preparing and taking depositions of parties and experts
- Reviewing client documents and drafting case evaluations and status report correspondence
- Assisting with and participating in mediations and court appearances
- Direct interaction with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff
- Support staff, current technology, and ongoing training provided
