Essential Functions:
- Provide legal support to the Judge
- Prepare memoranda and opinions
- Research legal issues
- Prepare cases for Docket
- Review case files and motions
- Perform duties related to case management
- Attend Court daily
- Perform other assigned duties
Education: (or expected by May 2025)
Preferred Experience: Journal experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent legal writing and research skills
- Knowledge of civil, family, and criminal laws and court procedures
- Familiarity with case progression from original charge through trial, sentencing, modification, and violation of probation stages
- General office work skills (filing, recording information)
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to compose orders and memoranda
- Ability to apply policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and laws as required
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
