Job Title: Spring Internship - Office of Counsel to the Governor
Job Responsibilities:
Interns participating in the Spring Internship program at the Office of Counsel to the Governor will engage in a variety of tasks designed to provide an in-depth understanding of state government operations. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with legal research and analysis in areas such as civil rights, criminal justice, civil law, alcoholic beverage control, and consumer affairs.
- Supporting the preparation of legal documents and reports.
- Participating in meetings and briefings to gain insights into the legislative and legal processes.
- Collaborating with various state departments and agencies to understand their functions and contributions to state governance.
- Providing administrative support to the legal team, including organizing files, managing correspondence, and other office duties as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
The Spring Internship program is open to:
- Law Internship: This opportunity is specifically for 2nd and 3rd year law students who are considering a career in state government. This experience is designed to enhance their legal education by providing practical work experience in a governmental setting.
- Regular Internship: Available to any college student or college graduate student interested in gaining experience in state government. Students from various academic backgrounds can apply, provided they have an interest in learning about government operations.
