Job Title: Litigation Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney at the law firm, the selected candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of civil litigation cases from their inception through to resolution. This role involves several key duties, including:
- Conducting legal research, analyzing data, and developing case strategies.
- Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Drafting various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Attending hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
- Defending a variety of Civil Litigation Defense matters, which include:
- General Liability
- Personal Injury
- Product Liability
- Professional Liability
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of education and experience that includes:
- A Juris Doctorate Degree (.).
- An active New Jersey Bar License is required.
- An active Pennsylvania Bar License or the ability to transfer UBE scores is preferred.
- The ability to waive into the Pennsylvania Bar and having multiple bar admissions is considered advantageous, although candidates with only one bar will also be considered.
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Civil Litigation Defense.
- Experience with Insurance Defense clients, writing motions, preparing legal memoranda, summarizing depositions, and trial preparation is preferred.
- The ability to work independently from suit inception to settlement or trial is preferred.
