As a Title & Survey Paralegal within the Finance department of the law firm, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support lawyers in closing multifamily real estate financings. Your duties include organizing and reviewing due diligence documents, preparing due diligence checklists, and coordinating and tracking the receipt of these documents. You will prepare summaries of due diligence documents to assist in the preparation of disclosure documents and draft routine transaction documents. Additionally, you will assist with researching federal, state, and local laws.

Your role will also involve drafting and proofreading both routine and complex transaction documents, preparing closing checklists, closing certificates, and other closing documents. You will coordinate the execution of closing documents, conduct closings, and prepare closing transcripts. Part of your responsibilities will include filing UCCs and other required filings. You may also need to travel to client and/or trial sites as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess commercial real estate experience, ideally gained from working at a law firm, title company, commercial lender, or another related entity. Experience with Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac CME, and/or HUD-insured programs is considered a plus. While a college degree is preferred, it is not explicitly required.

Candidates should demonstrate a growth mindset, be self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving, and possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent technical writing abilities. A keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently are crucial. The role requires teamwork skills, as you will need to work independently, as well as collaboratively with a team and clients. Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office applications, document management systems, and time-keeping software are necessary.
