Law Firm Seeks Lateral Associate for Business Restructuring & Reorganization Team in DC

About the Position:
- Join a well-respected and successful Business Restructuring & Reorganization team
- Work on a mix of creditor, debtor, and distressed acquisition cases
- Represent high-profile clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and financial institutions
- Handle both chapter 11 cases and out of court restructurings
- Opportunity to work on cross-border cases and out of court restructurings
- Preference for NY office, but open to candidates in Washington, .

Experience Required:
- Class of 2017-2021 preferred
- Prior experience in creditor and/or debtor work is a plus
- Strong academic background and law firm experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary range of $310,000 - $435,000
- Salary will be based on qualifications and other operational considerations

Responsibilities:
- Represent high-profile clients in creditor and debtor cases
- Handle chapter 11 cases and out of court restructurings
- Assist with cross-border cases and other complex matters
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in New York or Washington, .
- Strong academic background and law firm experience
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
