Law Clerk - Multiple Locations - Full-Time, At-Will Positions Available throughout the State As Needed
Salary:
- Appellate Law Clerks: 1st Year - $68,499
- Circuit Court and District Court Law Clerks: Non-Bar Member - $63,119, Bar Member in any State - $70,120
Position Type: Regular/Temporary, Full Time, At-Will
Essential Functions:
- Conduct legal research
- Review motions and court files
- Draft memoranda and revise work product
- Provide recent and up to date information to the judge
- Deliver and triage chamber's work
- Attend court proceedings as requested by the judge
Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Preferred: Prior legal writing experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of laws, rules, and court procedures
- Familiarity with computer hardware and software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform legal research
- Ability to read and understand law-related materials
- Ability to compose orders and memoranda
- Ability to apply policies, procedures, and laws
- Ability to perform all essential functions of this position
