Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will handle bankruptcy case management from initial filing through closure in multiple states, particularly New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Manage shared email inbox for ECFs and case notifications to update files accurately and quickly. Supervise either a team and/or processes as assigned by the managing attorney. Review, and analyze deadline reports to ensure timely completion of various pleadings. Implement new processes, systems, and/or operations for a more efficient workflow. Responsibilities may change with time and expand based on abilities and interests. Must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of industry experience handling bankruptcy matters on the creditor side. Should have experience working well with assigned attorneys to manage complex cases. CaseAware management experience is a plus, particularly in programming and creating sequences, supplemental steps, and billing triggers. BKFS Administrator experience is a plus. Foreclosure experience on the creditor side is a plus. Prior management and/or team lead experience would be helpful. Loss mitigation experience is a plus. FNMA billing experience and experience with standard non-Black Knight creditor client systems (Tempo, Vendorscape, etc.) were helpful. Should have superior organizational skills. Should have strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Should have good client relations and customer service experience. Should have a good understanding of bankruptcy law. Should be able to manage a heavy workload and multi-task. Should work well under pressure. Should be a collaborative and engaged team player. Should have strong proficiency with MS Office Suite and Black Knight (BKFS).
