Job Title: Paralegal, Patent Prosecution

Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal, Patent Prosecution at the law firm is tasked with supporting attorneys primarily involved in patent prosecution cases and transactions. The responsibilities include:

- Preparing documents for filing at the . Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), such as transmittals, information disclosure statements, and formal drawings.
- Conducting quality review and uploading all submissions to the USPTO and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
- Creating and updating intellectual property (IP) portfolio family and status reports.
- Obtaining copies of . and foreign patents and patent publications.
- Preparing formal documents, including powers of attorney, assignments, and required declarations.
- Drafting various requests, petitions, and communications for attorney review and submission to the USPTO.
- Proofing filing receipts, . and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) publications, and . notices of allowance.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of four (4) years of patent prosecution experience in a legal or corporate environment is necessary.
- A paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification is required.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, with or without direct supervision, and possess multitasking capabilities.
- The role requires a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude who can function effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work overtime is necessary.

Salary Information:
The law firm offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined based on the market where the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting pay scale for this position is between $110,000 and $145,000.
