Job Title: Client Intake (Conflicts) Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Client Intake (Conflicts) Analyst at the law firm plays a crucial role within the Client Intake Department by executing functions essential for mitigating risk associated with the intake of potential new business. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting corporate research on legal entities involved in potential new business using multiple resources.
- Performing conflict searches across the Department's records to identify potential conflicts of interest and generating conflict reports.
- Providing guidance to attorneys and assistants on intake policies and procedures.
- Responding promptly, courteously, and efficiently to inquiries and requests.
- Collaborating with the Client Intake team to meet the firm's business needs.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records by confirming the completeness and accuracy of data, communicating with firm lawyers and others as necessary.
- Participating in weekend and holiday on-call coverage for time-sensitive requests.
- Assuming additional responsibilities as requested.
- The role requires 60% in-office presence, with remote work permissible 40% of the time.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with conflicts analysis or in a large law firm or similar environment is required.
- Knowledge of conflict rules under the Rules of Professional Conduct is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate professionally with colleagues throughout the firm.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, along with excellent attention to detail, are crucial.
- Creative problem-solving skills, reasoning ability, and logical thought process are required.
- The ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing deadlines, and execute tasks through to completion is essential.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Outstanding customer service skills, an enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude, and a high level of integrity and honesty are required.
- Prior experience with Intapp, CapIQ, and LexisNexis is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, are necessary.
- The ability to quickly master new processes, applications, and software is important.
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary is required.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position in New York and Washington, . is $65,000 to $85,000.
- This position is bonus eligible.
