Job Title: Senior Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel will focus primarily on supporting the midstream commercial operations of the Partnership, which includes natural gas gathering and processing, intrastate natural gas pipelines, LNG, and alternative energy commercial transactions. The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on a large portfolio of existing commercial agreements, and providing legal advice and support for new greenfield project development activities. The Senior Counsel will be part of the natural gas commercial legal team and will report to the Associate General Counsel.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice and recommendations for actions on complex matters that may have significant economic impacts on business activities and operations.
- Drafting complex midstream commercial agreements.
- Offering day-to-day counsel and advice to senior and executive management of the Partnership.
- Participating in contract or other commercial negotiations with counterparties.
- Monitoring and anticipating changes in law or regulation that could impact existing midstream assets or agreements and proposing practical solutions.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a transactional attorney.
- Experience in drafting and participating in negotiations of complex commercial agreements.
- Must be able to provide proof of a license to practice law and maintain the currency of the license.

Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary to light work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
- Ability to view a computer screen, sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and telephone.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to work indoors, in an office environment with normal noise levels.
- Occasional travel to work or field locations, meetings, or training, including overnight stays.
