Law Firm Seeking Experienced Facilities Specialist in Detroit Office

Honigman, an internationally recognized business law firm, is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Specialist for our Detroit office. Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Director and Manager of Operations to ensure efficient and smooth operation of all facilities within the firm
- Perform minor repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in multiple office facilities
- Organize storage rooms, move furniture and boxes, and perform light replacements
- Keep inventory of supplies and prepare requisitions for supervisor's approval
- Maintain positive relationships with attorneys, staff, and visitors while maintaining confidentiality of client and firm matters
- Follow instructions effectively and independently initiate follow-up as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Mechanical aptitude acquired from vocational school, outside activities, or job experience
- Low voltage wiring experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks under time constraints
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions with courtesy and tact
- Must have own tools (firm will supplement)
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Satisfactory work record and attendance

Physical and Mental Demands:

- Regularly required to sit at a desk, work on a computer, and use a telephone
- Must have routine manual dexterity skills
- Ability to move, kneel, grasp, push, pull, bend over, reach overhead, and lift heavy items
- Must be able to lift at least 50 to 100 pounds
- Must have good vision and ability to read computer screens and printed materials
- Ability to learn and comprehend instructions
