Job Title: Legal Intern
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Legal Internship Program during the spring semester.
- Work within the Criminal Bureau, which involves investigating and prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases.
- Assist with cases involving public corruption, financial fraud, organized crime, major narcotic offenses, appellate issues, insurance, and unemployment fraud, as well as cyber and electronic crimes.
- Support investigations conducted by a team of State Police detectives.
- Engage with the Victim Witness Assistance Division to provide information, support, and advocacy services to victims, witnesses, and their families in accordance with the Victim Bill of Rights (. ).
- Be assigned to a specific division within the **Members Only**, depending on the needs and requests of the divisions.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must be currently enrolled in a law school program.
- Individuals who have completed law school are not eligible for the internship program.
- The program is designed for students seeking to gain practical experience in a legal setting.
Salary Information:
- The internship positions are unpaid.
Additional Information:
- Legal interns are accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the needs of the individual divisions within the **Members Only**.
- Candidates must submit a resume and cover letter stating their areas of interest and availability to the Legal Intern Coordinator.
- The Legal Intern Coordinator will review application materials and forward them to the appropriate divisions for review.
- Divisions will notify candidates directly if they are selected for an interview.
- The internship program is offered for both fall and spring semesters.
