The Interns should be certified under SJC Rule 3:03 have successfully argued in court for the release of our clients at arraignment, as well as motions to dismiss. Clerk will work on a variety of legal research and writing projects released to litigation and other legal advocacy efforts on behalf of low-income students. Law students are welcome.
Legal Intern is to work with assigned attorneys and case managers to meet deadlines, review and summarize medical evidence, draft settlement demand letters, create settlement packages, work with insurance adjusters and medical providers, draft complaints to file in court, assist with drafting and compiling discovery responses, accompany attorneys to court and depositions, and generally do anything else needed to facilitate a working team environment. Students will attend weekly clinics for at least one semester. Law student advocates who are volunteers (i.e., not receiving academic credit) are welcome.
Schedule: 5 hours per week(work at least three hours at the on-site legal clinic and two hours on follow-up work each week.)

Legal interns will be paired with an experienced attorney in one of four program areas focusing on clean air, clean energy and climate change; clean water; ocean conservation; or transportation and environmental justice. Will work for 2 days per week for at least 10 weeks. Must be interested in dedicating an academic term to advance cutting edge legal strategies and policy solutions. Work typically beginning in last week of August.
