Job Title: Multifamily Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Multifamily Paralegal position at the law firm involves a variety of duties aimed at supporting the Multifamily Housing Finance Group, which represents lenders in the multifamily housing industry. The primary focus is on closing loans secured by multifamily projects and delivering those loans to secondary market investors. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting title and survey review and analysis for commercial real estate loans, including but not limited to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.
- Maintaining thorough and current knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines.
- Performing paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by the group leader and other attorneys.
- Monitoring and meeting loan closing deadlines.
- Performing all assignments in strict compliance with ethical guidelines governing the practice of law.
- Maintaining the firm's official file utilizing the document management system.
- Tracking and recording client-billable time to meet minimum billable hour requirements.
- Maintaining and prioritizing work on a daily basis and communicating if unable to meet daily responsibilities.
- Receiving and following complex instructions.
- Utilizing sound judgment and discretion effectively.
- Providing quality client service to both internal and external clients in a professional manner and building strong relationships.
- Daily tracking and recording of both billable and nonbillable work.

- Initiative in completing routine assignments with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work overtime when necessary or requested.
- Consistently high degree of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
Candidates should have:
- A Bachelor's degree or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey review and analysis, at either a law firm or title company.
- Commercial title and survey experience, specifically American Land Title Association, ALTA/NSPS.
- Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac experience is preferred.
Salary Information:
The hiring salary range for this position is between $85, and $105,. Compensation is dependent on several factors, such as position, location, education, training, and/or experience.
