Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced mid-level General Litigation Attorney to join its FL office. The attorney will manage a variety of general liability matters, including drafting legal documents, taking and defending depositions, providing strategic legal analysis, and appearing in court. This role requires a candidate with a solid background in defending liability claims and handling complex litigation.

Location:

• Coral Gables, FL

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of general liability matters in Florida.

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Provide strategic legal analysis and advice.

• Appear in court as necessary for hearings and oral arguments.

• Handle written discovery, including answering and drafting responses.

• Represent clients in premises liability, automobile, general liability, and insurance defense matters.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably defending liability claims.

• Experience in drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and written discovery.

• Experience taking and defending depositions and handling oral arguments.

• Strong background in premises liability, general liability, automobile, and insurance defense.

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to practice law in Florida.

• Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize work effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
