Job Title: Summer Internship - Attorney General’s Office

Job Responsibilities:
Interns in the Attorney General’s Office will engage in a variety of tasks that provide insight and experience in legal and governmental operations. Responsibilities may include:

- Assisting with legal research and writing under the supervision of experienced attorneys.
- Participating in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
- Observing legal proceedings and attending meetings relevant to the field of law.
- Supporting the staff in various legal departments such as the Division on Civil Rights, Division of Criminal Justice, and Division of Civil Law, among others.
- Collaborating with different state departments and agencies to understand the intersection of law and government operations.
- Undertaking administrative tasks as necessary to support the functioning of the office.

Education and Experience Information:
- The internship program is open to students who are in their 2nd or 3rd year of law school.
- This is a volunteer internship, providing law students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in state government.
- Applicants must submit a writing sample, resume, and cover letter. The cover letter should provide a brief introduction to the student and outline their interests, as well as their dates and times of availability.
