Job Title: Summer Associate

Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a multi-day orientation with the Summer Associate Program leadership team and firm attorneys to kickstart the summer experience.
- Engage in real work experiences by drafting memos, agreements, and briefs, attending client meetings, closings, court conferences, depositions, and trials.
- Handle pro bono projects, reflecting the firm's commitment to pro bono work.
- Participate in legal skills workshops to refine and sharpen legal writing and drafting skills, including contract drafting and negotiation, legal and research memoranda, bluebooking, and marketing writing.
- Attend and engage in a variety of community and social events, such as cooking classes, museum tours, axe-throwing, escape rooms, and dinners, to understand the firm's culture and network with attorneys and clients.
- Participate in volunteer opportunities, such as prepping meals for individuals living with illnesses and participating in a beach cleanup day.
- Receive evaluations and feedback from assigning attorneys, including mid-summer and end-of-program evaluations to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage in ongoing dialogue with an assigned writing advisor, typically a partner at the firm, to receive private feedback on written work product.

Education and Experience Information:
- Must be a motivated second-year law student with excellent academic performance.
- Candidates should have diverse interests and an enthusiasm for the practice of law.
