Law Firm in Richmond, VA is seeking a Client Accounting Coordinator with experience in billing or related accounting activities to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a college degree preferred. They should also have at least three years of experience in billing or accounting, preferably in a law firm setting.
Salary Information:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- Three years of experience in billing or related accounting activities
- Familiarity with law firm billing practices and procedures preferred
- Law firm accounting system experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines required
- Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
- Proficiency in word processing, database, and spreadsheet software (Word, Access, Excel)
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing conditions
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Setup and update client and matter data in accordance with firm policies and procedures
- Generate and distribute prebills on a monthly and on-demand basis
- Revise prebills based on billing attorney instructions and post changes to the accounting system
- Ensure prebill tracking is being performed
- Audit final bills before sending to clients to ensure accuracy and compliance with ethical standards and firm billing policies
- Post final bills to the accounting system and ensure proper storage of bills and supporting documentation

- Ability to work well under pressure and handle high-stress situations
- Patience, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Visual acuity for transcription, reading, and inputting information into a computer
- Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication
- Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning, and memory
