A prestigious law firm with a nationally recognized investment funds practice is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds group. Duties:
Advise established and emerging private fund sponsors on fund formation and structuring
Handle regulatory and compliance matters related to private investment funds
Draft and negotiate fund documents, offering memoranda, and investor agreements
Collaborate closely with clients, providing strategic guidance on fund operations and investor relations
Support senior attorneys with high-level fund-related advisory matters
Conduct legal research and analysis related to private fund management issues
Participate in firm-wide initiatives and business development opportunities within the practice group
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in private fund formation and asset management legal practice
Significant experience working on the general partner (GP) side of funds
Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and assume increasing levels of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team
Strong commitment to providing exceptional client service
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Active and good standing membership with the bar of the jurisdiction in which the position is held
Skills:
Expertise in private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, and other pooled investment vehicles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Legal drafting and negotiation proficiency
Familiarity with SEC compliance and regulatory frameworks
Professionalism and collaboration in client and internal communications
