A leading national law firm is hiring a mid-level Corporate Associate to join its Investment Services practice group. The position involves sophisticated regulatory and transactional work related to registered investment funds and advisers. Location

Duties

  • Advise registered investment companies and investment advisers on compliance with federal securities laws

  • Work extensively with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933

  • Lead or support fund-related transactions, including reorganizations and mergers

  • Provide guidance on mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and fund governance

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of matters in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborate with shareholders and senior attorneys

  • Participate in client development and relationship management activities

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in investment fund regulation and related transactional matters

  • Strong understanding of the legal framework governing registered funds and advisers

  • Experience advising on fund operations and independent director/trustee issues

  • Proven ability to manage complex, concurrent matters

  • Admission to practice in at least one . jurisdiction or actively seeking admission

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

  • Demonstrated academic excellence

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing, or eligibility for admission in the jurisdiction of practice

Skills

  • Strong legal research and drafting skills

  • Excellent judgment and communication abilities

  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to meet deadlines
