Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The legal assistant will be part of a downtown Salt Lake City law firm, specializing in water law, municipal government, real estate, and litigation. The candidate will work full-time, within the office hours of 8:00 . to 6:00 ., Monday through Friday. The responsibilities include:

- Planning, coordinating, and ensuring that the attorneys’ schedules are followed and respected.
- Proactively monitoring case dockets and managing the attorneys’ calendar.
- Scheduling appointments, mediations, and depositions.
- Filing documents with various courts and other relevant entities.
- Creating, organizing, and assisting with maintaining both digital and physical client files.
- Maintaining bar renewals and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
- Assisting with preparing, drafting, proofreading, and delivering legal materials.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by attorneys.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires legal and administrative work experience. The candidate should possess great organizational skills, the ability to proactively manage attorneys' schedules and appointments, and the capacity to prioritize tasks, switch between them, and handle high-pressure situations. A high proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word, is necessary.

Salary Information:
The pay for this position ranges from to per hour, based on experience. A background check is required for the candidate.
