Real Estate Commercial Paralegal The candidate will be assigned to specific matters, clients, projects and/or attorneys. Will report to the Office Administrator. Research, draft, investigate, analyze and summarize facts and factual issues relevant to real estate transactions. Take appropriate action to monitor and meet deadlines. Establish priorities and work concurrently on a variety of projects. Participate in the training and professional development of other paralegals in routine practice elements. Maintain the firm's official file utilizing the document management system. Track and record client-billable time as required meeting minimum billable hour requirements. Maintain and prioritize work on a daily basis and communicate if unable to meet daily responsibilities. Daily tracking and recording of both billable and nonbillable work. Prepare real estate transaction documents including due diligence and closing agendas. Review and analyze title and survey documents, write reports/summaries for attorney review and work directly with title office and surveyor to address title and survey issues. Organize and manage transaction files and deadlines to ensure on time closings. Prepare transaction authorizing resolutions and basic lease abstracts. Prepare real property valuation calculations for property value tax appeals. Coordinate closing requirements and documentation with local counties. File and record documents for specified jurisdictions. Review settlement statements. Provide quality client service to both internal and external clients effectively and professionally. Use initiative in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision. Perform paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by group leader and other attorneys in assigned substantive practice group. Perform all assignments in strict compliance with ethical guidelines governing the practice of law. Receive and follow complex instructions.

The candidate should have graduated from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree, and certificate of completion from a paralegal training program, American Bar Association (ABA) approval preferred. Being a Notary Public is a plus. Must have 10+ years of experience as a Real Estate paralegal. Experience with database file management systems such as iManage and a records management system is required. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, Word). Should also demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop skills as well as good teamwork skills within and among practice groups, offices and firm to facilitate efficient delivery of legal services.
