Personal Injury Case Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Case Management & Coordination:
- Manage personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain detailed case files, monitor the progress of each case, and track key dates such as filing deadlines, statute of limitations, and medical appointments.
- Assist in gathering and organizing evidence, medical records, and other case-related documentation.
- Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to update on case status and gather necessary information.
Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the legal process.
- Provide updates to clients regarding case status and next steps.
- Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely, professional manner, maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Insurance & Medical Liaison:
- Communicate with insurance companies, medical professionals, and other third parties to facilitate the case process.
- Help ensure that medical records, bills, and related documentation are received and reviewed in a timely manner.
Settlement & Litigation Support:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for settlement negotiations or litigation, including research, evidence preparation, and witness coordination.
Case Tracking & Reporting:
- Update case management software regularly to ensure accurate records of case status, client communications, and deadlines.
- Provide regular case status reports to attorneys and clients.
Education and Experience:
- required.
- Legal case management experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Knowledge of personal injury law, medical terminology, and insurance processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, client-focused demeanor with a high level of empathy and professionalism.
