Essential Functions:
- Provide legal support to the Judge
- Prepare memoranda and opinions
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare cases for Docket
- Review case files and motions
- Perform duties related to court's case management
- Attend court daily
- Perform other assigned duties
Education:
- Juris doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Or will have received a Juris Doctor by May 2025
Preferred: Journal experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent legal writing and research skills
- Knowledge of civil, family, and criminal laws
- Familiarity with court procedures
- Knowledge of general office work
- Proficiency in computer hardware and software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to compose orders and memoranda
- Familiarity with policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and laws
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
