Job Title: Estate and Trust Administration Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Management of probate estate processes and procedures
- Preparation of trust and estate accountings
- Trust administration
- Preparation of federal and state income and estate tax returns, specifically Forms 1040/MO-1040/1041/MO-1041 and Form 706
- Assist in preparing, retaining, and organizing legal documents, agreements, pleadings, and accountings related to trust and estate administration
- Professionally and clearly communicate with clients, attorneys, and all levels of staff
- Perform other tasks as required with accuracy and efficiency
Education and Experience Information:
- Ability to produce accurate legal documents with minimal supervision
- Experience preparing Forms 1041 and 706 is required
- Experience with estate and trust tax software; knowledge of ProSeries, GEMS, and EstateVal is a plus
- Proficiency in Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience is necessary
- A minimum of three years of direct experience is required, with five years preferred
