Job Title: Immigration Senior Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Immigration Senior Paralegal at the law firm plays a crucial role in assisting attorneys, account managers, and case managers with the preparation and filing of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions. The position demands a substantive knowledge of immigration law and processes, along with basic strategic thinking and initiative concerning case and project management. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting attorneys with the preparation and filing of various immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, including but not limited to PERM cases, I-140 EB-1/2/3, AOS, H-1B, L-1, E-1/2/3, O-1, J-1.
- Communicating with clients both in writing and orally to gather necessary information and documents for preparing petitions and applications.
- Keeping clients informed of the progress of their cases.
- Responding to immigration inquiries promptly.
- Entering, updating, and maintaining data in the immigration case management system.
- Managing the caseload and ensuring timely completion of work.
- Tracking and managing critical deadlines.
- Running active cases workload and client NIV expiration reports in the immigration case management system.
- Attending team meetings and continuing educational programs/seminars.
- Entering and closing time entries in the firm’s time recording system.
- Applying understanding of legal and ethical principles that guide paralegal conduct, including unauthorized practice of law, confidentiality, attorney-client privilege, conflicts of interest, and GDPR compliance.
Education and Experience:
Candidates for the Immigration Senior Paralegal position are required to have:

- At least 2 years of business immigration experience.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in I-140 EB-1, O-1 petitions, and PERM applications preferred.

Salary Information:
For positions based in Washington, DC, the salary range for the Immigration Senior Paralegal position is $72, - $115,. The base salary or hourly wage range will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package, which may include a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits such as 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits like vacation, sick time, and parental leave, depending on the position offered.
