Patent Agent/Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
The role involves working with a law firm’s patent group to assist in writing the technical aspects of patent applications submitted to the . Patent and Trademark Office. The primary responsibility is to generate technical writing that accurately describes inventions in the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or similar technical areas. The position does not require prior legal experience, but the ability to produce precise and clear technical documentation is essential.
Education and Experience Information:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree (.) in Engineering or Computer Science from a four-year college or university. Alternatively, one to two years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Candidates must have already obtained a license to the patent bar. While not mandatory, having engineering experience, writing experience, and/or a graduate degree is preferred.
