Job Title: Audit & Compliance Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
The Audit & Compliance Clerk at the law firm is tasked with ensuring the accurate and timely execution of client-driven audits throughout the year. This includes maintaining documentation of periodic control reporting, performing internal audits, and reviewing and submitting account-level special handling issues such as complaints, disputes, and fraud claims. The role requires working independently on various projects, managing pressure effectively, and handling a wide range of duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Attending and participating in weekly meetings with the Audit & Compliance team to discuss current or potential compliance issues.
- Providing client audit deliverables as instructed by the Audit & Compliance Supervisor and Lead.
- Performing periodic controls and internal audits as assigned in the Audit & Compliance Task List.
- Maintaining the Accountability Log to ensure all identified issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Identifying, documenting, and submitting complaints, disputes, and other special handling items to clients following their work standards.
- Collaborating with other departments to find root causes for identified issues and working collaboratively to resolve them.
- Completing periodic and ad hoc training to stay updated on client requirements, process changes, and evolving expectations.
- Demonstrating the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and clients.
- Building trust, valuing others, communicating effectively, driving execution, fostering innovation, collaborating with others, solving problems creatively, and demonstrating high integrity.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all support departments.
- Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. The role demands strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The work location is in person, within a normal office environment where the position involves sitting most of the time. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and color vision for reading a computer monitor. Clear speech is necessary for telephone communication.
