Job Title: Call Center Collections Representative

Job Responsibilities:
The Call Center Collections Representative position is a dynamic role within the Collections Department at a prestigious law firm. This role involves handling consumer interactions, including negotiating repayment plans, answering questions, and arranging for payments. The key responsibilities include:

- Efficiently assisting customers through both inbound (90%) and outbound (10%) calls.
- Educating customers on their options for account resolution.
- Developing trusted relationships with customers, third parties, attorneys, representatives, and realtors to ensure timely handling of all accounts through the collections process.
- Maintaining detailed document records of all customer communications, including payment plans that customers have agreed to and amounts paid via telephone.
- Ensuring the prompt and successful delivery of solutions according to customer and client needs.
- Clearly communicating the progress of accounts and their respective status within the collections pipeline.
- Demonstrating exceptional listening skills while displaying professionalism and empathy for customers’ individual needs and circumstances.

Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications:
- Customer service oriented with a pleasant manner.
- Proficient data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Account documentation skills.
- Active listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Prior call center and/or collector experience.

Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Relevant experience may compensate for education.

Salary Information:
- This is a full-time position operating under standard business hours (Mondays to Fridays in office - 8am to 5pm / 8:30am to 5:30pm / 9am to 6pm).

Additional Information:
- This position is not remote and is based in the Plantation, FL office.
- The work environment is generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
- The law firm maintains a collegial work environment that prioritizes internal promotion, training, and professional development, with promotional opportunities becoming available as team members progress and demonstrate a consistent ability to meet performance standards.
- Physical functions include remaining stationary 50% of the time, operating a computer and other office machinery, and regular verbal communication, listening, and presentations as needed. Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel and applicants.
