Job Title: Experienced Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The role of an Experienced Litigation Paralegal at the law firm involves providing comprehensive support to trial counsel throughout all stages of litigation, from initial investigation to trial and resolution. The key responsibilities include:
- Drafting various legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conducting thorough factual investigations to support legal proceedings.
- Assisting attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Providing direct support during trial proceedings.
- Managing, organizing, and reviewing complex litigation documents, with proficiency in using document review platforms like Relativity.
- Demonstrating proficiency in electronic and paper filing procedures in both state and federal courts.
- Navigating court websites and conducting effective legal research.
- Managing multiple projects and priorities for different attorneys simultaneously.
- Recording billable hours accurately.
- Working overtime and traveling for trials as required.
Education and Experience:
Candidates must possess:
- A bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- A minimum of five years of litigation experience.
- Strong experience in managing, organizing, and reviewing complex litigation documents.
- Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams and Asana is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic and paper filing procedures in both state and federal courts.
- A thorough working knowledge of relevant court rules.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
