Job Title: eDiscovery Project Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The eDiscovery Project Specialist at the law firm is tasked with managing eDiscovery projects within the Relativity application and coordinating with the eDiscovery Services team to handle multiple priorities. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting Project Managers with client requests and executing litigation support projects.
- Overseeing the full life cycle of projects in accordance with project manager and client parameters.
- Implementing recommended practices in alignment with firm policies and goals in eDiscovery cases.
- Collaborating with the Client Solutions Manager and Project Managers to ensure legal teams utilize appropriate, innovative, and cost-effective technologies for managing the discovery process.
- Coordinating data transfer and storage, adhering to firm policies and best practices.
- Tracking delivery schedules, ensuring quality assurance, and managing changes in work scope.
- Participating in post-project analysis to identify workflow inefficiencies and obstacles, working with the eDiscovery Services team to apply quality control processes and improvements.
- Assisting in developing and delivering training to litigation case teams on effective document review protocols using both firm and vendor technology.
- Coordinating and working with H&K Review Center.
- Promoting the use of litigation technology, practice support services, and products within the firm.
- Coordinating electronic and paper document discovery, including processing, scanning, coding, review, and productions.
- Ensuring expertise in relevant technology and proactively using current technology to enhance teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
- Participating in appropriate industry organizations to stay current with developments in litigation technology.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional litigation experience is required.
- Experience in a large law firm or a strong consulting background is preferred.
- Relativity-Certified Administrator (RCA) is preferred but not required, with the law firm sponsoring RCA certification for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of and the ability to train on Relativity, WestLaw Case Notebook, Case Map, TimeMap, and working knowledge of IPRO e-Capture and IPRO is essential.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills are necessary.
- A collaborative mindset is important.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Brainspace, NexLP, or others is a plus.
- Trial presentation experience with Sanction or Trial Director is a bonus.
- A Bachelor’s Degree is the minimum educational requirement.
Salary Information:
The position may be filled in various states across the ., and the base salary ranges are as follows:
- Washington: $102,000/yr - $153,000/yr
- Illinois: $102,000/yr - $153,000/yr
- District of Columbia: $111,000/yr - $167,000/yr
- New York City: $111,000/yr - $167,000/yr
- New York State: $111,000/yr - $167,000/yr
- Colorado: $93,000/yr - $139,000/yr
- California: $111,000/yr - $167,000/yr
