Job Title: Cloud Email Security Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Cloud Email Security Analyst is tasked with the daily review and administration of email security solutions. This role involves monitoring, reporting, and responding to email security solutions and incidents. The analyst manages and administers email security measures such as email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), spam, virus, and content filtering, as well as URL rewriting and attachment scanning. The position requires managing and administering all messaging systems, with a focus on Microsoft Cloud Offerings like Exchange Online, MS Exchange Online Archiving, Exchange Online Protection, Conditional Access Policies, and Teams integrations. The analyst is responsible for creating and executing solutions implementation plans, troubleshooting system issues, and performing problem analysis to resolution. They document procedures and standards for varying target audiences and develop and implement access, monitoring, control, and documentation. The role also includes providing metrics for service utilization and actionable data, participating in preparing and testing the disaster recovery plan, and monitoring and implementing email security measures for inbound, outbound, and partner email solutions. The analyst consistently monitors, reports, and resolves email security incidents, performs incident response tasks as needed, and provides Proofpoint Email Security Solutions for cloud and on-premises. They recommend strategies and approaches for new and developing email security risks, identify, track, and respond to email security threat vectors, and provide 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities. The analyst provides subject matter expertise support to the Help Desk and end users, collaborates and partners with IT groups to promote efficient and secure services, participates in after-hours on-call duties, and performs other duties as assigned or required. They must be comfortable interacting with firm leaders through presentations or one-on-one contact.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience engineering in a large messaging system environment, with 4 years of experience with cloud-based messaging solutions. Additionally, 4 years of experience supporting a large international email environment is required. A bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience is necessary. Microsoft M365, Proofpoint, or other email security-related certifications are preferred. Previous experience in a law firm is highly desired, as is direct experience managing and developing email hygiene solutions, with Proofpoint solutions experience being a bonus. Critical participation in enterprise-sized migration projects is also important. The candidate should have significant experience implementing email delivery and security platforms, including message/spam filtering, transport threats and vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, antivirus, and antimalware.
Technology:
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required. The candidate should have deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection and demonstrated knowledge of email archiving standards and procedures, with a focus on Exchange Online Archiving. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure-based tools is also important, as well as an understanding of DNS solutions such as AWS and Azure. Experience with Microsoft 365, with a focus on Exchange Online, is required.
