Job Responsibilities:
The Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate will play a pivotal role in the cybersecurity and incident response practice within the law firm. The responsibilities include advising innovative companies as they manage cybersecurity incidents and navigate complex privacy and cybersecurity challenges. The associate will represent clients in major security incidents, provide counseling on best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves providing cybersecurity expertise to companies involved in technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic corporate transactions. The associate will also advise cybersecurity companies on legal compliance concerning security research and threat intelligence activities. This position requires taking on significant responsibilities within the group and contributing to the growth of the practice, serving leading technology companies as they face increasing cybersecurity regulation complexities.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate position should possess superior academic credentials. Relevant experience in cybersecurity and privacy within state or federal government agencies is highly valued. Experience with incident response, cybersecurity investigations, or cybersecurity counseling is considered a plus. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The firm is seeking a 2nd to 4th-year associate to join their team. Candidates may be based in Washington DC, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Century City, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, or Seattle.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate position ranges from $235,000 to $310,000, depending on the year classification of the associate. In addition to the base salary, discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
