Job Title: Manager, State Income and Franchise Tax

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships across various tax consulting and compliance engagements.
- Advise clients on multistate tax planning, accounting for income taxes, restructuring, audit defense, and due diligence.
- Oversee complex pass-through entity state tax compliance and consulting projects, requiring tax analysis for entities and their affiliates.
- Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues and implications, including pass-through entity taxes, apportionment methodology, unitary filings, and nexus considerations.
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing.
- Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance to motivate and develop the engagement team.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5+ years of overall tax experience, with 2-3 years specifically in State and Local Tax (SALT).
- Preferred certifications include CPA, JD, or CMI – Income Tax.
- Strong understanding of pass-through entity taxation.
- Ability to work effectively with a fully remote team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and interacting at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $160,000 annually. Actual salaries may vary based on experience, qualifications, and other factors, potentially falling outside the listed range in certain circumstances.
