We are seeking experienced Senior Conflicts Attorneys to join our team and assist our attorneys with conflicts related to new business intake. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly respected law firm and have a direct impact on our Firm's success.
Responsibilities:
- Use your extensive conflicts knowledge to establish a full clearance process
- Process new client and matter intake on behalf of firm attorneys
- Conduct conflicts checks and identify potential conflicts of interest
- Communicate with affected attorneys to resolve conflicts
- Obtain due diligence as needed for new clients and matters
- Draft waiver letters to clear conflicts of interest
- Advise attorneys on professional conduct rules and firm policies
- Maintain ethical walls and other legal screens
- Monitor changes in ethics rules and case law related to conflicts of interest
- Assist with keeping shared documents up-to-date
- Special projects and duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise discretion in escalating issues
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of conflicts of interest principles under the Rules of Professional Conduct
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of legal experience, with 5+ years identifying and clearing conflicts of interest
- Juris Doctorate and . bar admission
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Moderate to advanced keyboard usage
Location and Salary Information:
- This position may be located in various . offices, with periodic in-person presence required for team building events and meetings
- Salary ranges from $130,200k - $244,200k/yr, depending on location and experience
