Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage real estate transactions from start to finish, encompassing title searches, title commitments, and closing documents.
- Prepare and review essential documents such as closing disclosures, settlement statements (ALTA), deeds, and loan documents.
- Conduct comprehensive title reviews to identify any potential issues that may impact closing.
- Order and review necessary documents including title insurance, surveys, payoff statements, and lien searches.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, lenders, realtors, and title companies to ensure smooth transactions.
- Schedule and facilitate closings to ensure they occur in a timely and efficient manner.
- E-record deeds and deeds of trust using CSC software.
- Maintain organized closing files and ensure compliance with all law firm policies.
- Handle post-closing matters, including disbursement, final title policies, and file archiving.
Education and Experience Information:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with Paralegal certification considered a plus.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
- Proficiency with SoftPro and CSC software is necessary.
- In-depth knowledge of North Carolina real estate laws and procedures is essential.
- The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail are required.
- The ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously is necessary.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in handling both residential and commercial closings is preferred.
- Being a Notary Public in North Carolina is preferred, or the willingness to obtain this certification.
- Experience working in a law firm, bank, or title insurance company is advantageous.
Salary Information:
- The position offers a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $50, to $60, per year.
