Job Title: Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney at the law firm is responsible for handling complex civil litigation, with a focus on asbestos defense. The role requires the attorney to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a large caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Conducting thorough legal research and analysis.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
- Participating in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and trial proceedings.
- Collaborating with a team of attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality legal services.
- Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required for this position.
- Experience as an attorney in a law firm setting is preferred.
- Experience in civil litigation or asbestos defense is preferred.
- The candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational, time management, research, and analytical skills are essential.
- The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a large caseload proactively.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team is crucial.
- Comfort with multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Associate Attorney position is commensurate with experience. The law firm offers a competitive benefits package, including employer-paid health, dental, and life insurance.
