Job Title: Information Governance Compliance Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities associated with client file transfers, including the intake of electronic file transfers for lateral attorneys, records retention, and compliance with records standards.
- Communicate with attorneys and business professionals regarding lawyer mobility records issues, such as client file transfers for active and inactive electronic client records.
- Manage the intake of electronic documents and emails for lateral attorneys, including uploading such materials into iManage.
- Handle the transfer of electronic documents and emails, including downloading such materials from iManage.
- Coordinate the transfer of print records and assist in the development of records retention procedures.
- Communicate with attorneys and other department business professional team members regarding records retention issues.
- Coordinate records retention activities per firm policy and procedures and coordinate the destruction of print records.
- Manage the approval process for optional electronic root folders and review requests for new print folders to ensure compliance with records standards.
- Responsible for data entry, data analysis, implementation of legal holds, and facilities document collection/production/destruction related to court orders and security of documents per various PII provisions.
- Address questions, comments, and concerns related to the Information Governance Department’s policies and procedures concerning lawyer mobility, retention, and standards.
- Assist in the development of training, procedure manuals, and guidelines.
- Liaise between attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, administration, and other records business professionals to ensure comprehensive central records services are provided equitably, promptly, and efficiently.
- Encourage team behaviors to achieve organizational goals and perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required:
- After orientation at the law firm, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications.
- Available to work overtime as required.
- 2+ years of direct applicable experience, such as records experience, technology experience, or a combination of both.
- Previous experience with complex electronic records management systems.
- Required to participate in a 7x24 on-call rotation.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience in a large multi-office law firm.
- Previous experience coordinating work with others.
- Experience coordinating the implementation of new technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL programming.
Salary Information:
- The expected hourly pay range for this position, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week, is - , translating to an annual salary of $62, - $90,. The final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and skill set of the candidate.
